The Association of International Marketing Graduates in Sri Lanka is the  organisation for professional marketers. By becoming a member of the AIMGSL you are joining a well-established and diverse community of marketers who belong to the association which advocates for your profession and supports you in building your skills as a professional marketer.  AIMGSL works together with our members to foster trust, innovation, responsibility and respect for our industry.

The Association’s core purpose is to support progress in the careers of our members and advance the marketing profession.

Our Story

‘Diploma in Marketing’ as a qualification was introduced to Sri Lanka during 1960’s. With the popularity of the qualification, and the leadership and guidance of Mr Eardley Perera, the diplomates of International Marketing formed the Association for the Members in 1986 with the intention of providing the fraternity with opportunities to network, share knowledge, learnings and progress in their profession. Over a period of time the association evolved to become the premier Marketing Association in serving International Marketing Diplomates in Sri Lanka. This was made possible due to the untiring efforts of successive management committees and all the past Chairs along with a dedicated staff who extended an invaluable service. The Association was duly registered as a company in Sri Lanka under 2007 Company’s Act and also as a company limited by guarantee in 2009.

In 2020 July, The institute began operating under a new name The Association of International Marketing Graduates in Sri Lanka (AIMG SL). Along with this change, the association’s main focus turned towards creating a dynamic and thriving professional association that promotes the discipline of marketing to be the key driver of business strategy, creating value to all the stakeholders.
